Introduction

What is it about?

This workshop invites you to step out of the stream of thoughts and into the stillness of the present moment. From an inner space of quiet we let go of what distracts us from simply being present — with an open heart and in the flow of life.

We begin with playful exercises to come from the head into the body, to let go and arrive fully in the here and now. Then we enter meditation step by step. We explore energy, body, mind, feelings and the deep beliefs that often shape life unnoticed.

Together we discover how to train awareness, so harmony and openness can grow on these levels, and how to let go of what no longer serves — developing more sensitivity for life and making room for stillness, peace and love.

Om creates a space in which each person’s presence becomes tangible and visible. He accompanies participants gently, step by step, into an inner quiet where the heart opens and only the moment counts. However stressed or tense they were in the morning — at the end of the day everyone goes home with a soft smile. — Tobias Day Participants
There is a nice balance of guidance, self-discovery, and pauses to recover. I enjoyed the painting and the sound journey a lot, and also the inquiry with the question “Wer bin ich?” and the yin yoga session. — Leigh Weekend Participants
A heartfelt thank you for this wonderful workshop. I am very grateful to have shared this weekend, and for the deep, honest encounters. I took a lot of inspiration with me, came a little closer to myself, and felt wonderfully guided throughout. I especially loved the trust exercises: letting go of control for once and discovering the world anew with closed eyes, like a child. I was fully present with what I was doing. The thoughts were gone, without my having to try. Being with people who care about the same things nourishes me deeply and makes me very happy. — Eila Weekend Participants

Guidance

With Om

Om began his meditation journey 10 years ago in a Buddhist monastery in Sri Lanka. Since then he has joined many retreats with different spiritual teachers, to deepen his practice and understanding.

For seven years he has lived in the Open Sky House community and found his teacher there in John David. He creates a space in which presence can be felt — gently, playfully and clearly.

“True peace is not something you find — it is what remains when you stop searching.” — John David
“The power to create a better future is contained in the present moment: you create a good future by creating a good present.” — Eckhart Tolle
